With more than 25 years in public relations, Judy McDonough started her career in the music industry, and was most recently with Harper Collins Christian Publishing, and PR By the Book, before joining the KCM team as publicity director.
The public relations and publishing industry veteran has worked on a number of bestselling titles, and with such well-known clients such as HGTV “Fixer Upper” stars Chip & Joanna Gaines, Dr. David Jeremiah, Dr. Emerson Eggerichs, Louis Giglio, Robert Morris, O.S. Hawkins, Tony Evans, David and Jason Benham, and many others.
Judy oversees the Nashville office of Karen Campbell Media, working strategically with publishing and ministry clients to secure effective and positive media exposure. “PR is merely telling someone’s story – but in today’s constantly churning ‘breaking news’ atmosphere, even getting someone to open an email can be a challenge!” said Judy. “That’s why I’m always scanning news outlets, radio shows and cable news programming for nationally trending topics and trends, so I truly enjoy working with authors whose work can be part of that national conversation. I’m proud of the relationships I’ve developed with bookers, producers and editors over the years – and they love the KCM authors I bring to them!”
